Hi there! I’m Chris, the founder of Sourcing Sprints. We help US-based startup founders who need help making their first hires in engineering, product, design, marketing, or sales.

Our team is based in Lagos, Nigeria, but we source candidates from all over the world. Most of the roles we work on are either focused on startup hubs like SFBA or NYC or are remote / distributed.

We're for-profit with an impact-focused mission. In addition to our core agency work, we also run free training programs to make it easier for talent in Nigeria to find high paid, remote jobs.

We're continuing to grow and are adding to our sourcing team. As a talent scout, you’ll be focused on finding talent for our hiring partners.

• Location: Remote-first. Our team currently meets up 1 day a week in-person in Lagos (Lekki Phase 1). Commuting costs are covered.
• Pay: $700 - $1050 / month + $500 bonus when you source a candidate that gets hired by a client.
• Benefits: data stipend, commuting reimbursement, healthcare, kindle (e-reader), and a work laptop (Macbook).
• Commitment: Full-time

About the Role

As a Talent Scout, you'll run Sourcing Sprints, where we find and reach out to candidates on behalf of clients (primarily early stage, US-based startup founders). We typically work on tech centric roles across software, hardware, growth, product, and design. You work will involve:

• Working with founders to better define who they’re looking for.
• Creating compelling outreach collateral that engages candidates.
• Creating high quality sourcing strategies.
• Sourcing, qualifying, and reaching out to high potential candidates.

This role will position you for future roles in sourcing, recruiting, or people operations.

Who you are

Previous tech sourcing experience will help you stand out. However, it’s definitely not a requirement. We’ll teach you everything you need to know and are optimizing for aptitude over previous experience. We’re looking for people who are:

• Organized and analytical. You love to work with data, solve puzzles, and have extremely high attention to detail.
• Tech Savvy. You’ve taught yourself hard, technical things previously. Some of our most successful sourcers were software developers previously. Fluency with spreadsheets is also a must.
